Topato Wants You to Save Money

What does is it truly mean to have something, to... own something? Why is it so important to us? Does its importance lie in safety in knowing you are part of a system that exists so that an object cannot be taken from you? Or is the the comfort in knowing that when something belongs to you, you can do with it what you wish?

Sometimes the limits of ownership must be tested in order to be truly appreciated. Sometimes the things we love must be destroyed just to remind ourselves they belonged to us, and that they are precious. This shirt represents impermanence.

    Screenprinted on...

Standard: American Apparel 2001 Red, and
Ladies: American Apparel 2102 Classic Girl in Red.
