A policy of wholesale dismissal of criticism is a foolish policy. Even the most superficial criticism can oftentimes be indicative of a larger problem one must address in order to live in relative harmony in a sophisticated, complex society. Failure to at least acknowledge superficial criticism can result in a slippery slope to complete sociopathy.
